Trying to Become
Yesterday was wonderfully busy. In the truest sense of the word wonderful.
My husband took two kids to school. I took one to eye therapy and then to school.
I talked to my sister on the phone. That was a treat because we kept missing each other over the last week or so.
I took an incredibly fast shower and headed to Subway and then to my kids’ school to each lunch with my kids.
My husband wasn’t at my three lunch dates, but he didn’t want to get left out so he texted me a picture of himself. So sweet.
Then I had a doctor’s appointment. She looked at a spot near my left eye and said, “It’s trying to become pre-cancer. So I’m going to freeze it off.”
Trying to become…It rattled around in my heart and mind.
Then I picked kids up from school and we went shoe shopping.
And I wondered what my life was saying about what I was trying to become…
Does my life mirror my desire to bring God glory or do I leave God on a shelf or in a Bible? Is He truly what my life is focused on or do I nod and wave at Him ignore Him the rest of the day?
How about you? What does your life saying you are trying to become?
