Angela

Hi. I am Angela Mackey. I am a stumbling woman in need of God's scandalous grace. Through faith in Jesus' sacrifice on the cross I bear the name Christian. I speak and write to make much of this God, His only Son, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit who lives in me. I graduated college with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and am a Registered Nurse. I also obtained my Masters of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies through Knox Theological Seminary.

Along the way I met my husband. He is a doctor. I was not going to marry a doctor and he was not going to marry a nurse, but God likes to change our minds. We have three children – two came to us through IVF (in-vitro fertilization). If you want to know more about our journey with infertility and IVF as Christians click here.

I periodically write for Encouragement Cafe and have written for The M.O.M. Initiative. I have guest posts on (in)courage and have published articles in Stepping Stones Newsletter (Bethany Christian Services Infertility Ministry).

I am passionate about God's word. I long to encourage women to rethink their thinking in light of God's word so they can live transformed lives. I love memorizing God's word, but still haven't found a pattern to keep me doing it. I can sew, but don't like cutting out patterns. I enjoy cooking and good food, but don't like cleaning my kitchen. I admire organized folks, but struggle to keep my house and life running smoothly. I adore college basketball especially the Kansas Jayhawks (Rock Chalk)! I am a football fan and I enjoy baseball too. (Go Royals!)
