An After Christmas Prayer

Today I pray for you, our nation, and our world. And I have I post at the MOM initiative today…It's titled Cold Coffee…Click here to check it out.

Father God be with each person reading this blog right now. Help them to know You are near. Fill them with your peace. Comfort them if they mourn. Guide them in the right paths and bless them. Lord God so many this holiday season are grief-stricken, sick, or mourning. Oh, Great Physician, heal the sick and the sick of heart.

May You guide counselors, physicians, friends, and loved ones to encourage and reach out to those hurting. Help our nation to seek You in our criminal justice system, in our pop culture, in how we deal with mental illness, and in how we relate to each other.

Lord we thank You for Christmas. The day we celebrate Jesus putting on flesh so You can dwell with us that one day Jesus would die and rise again so You can dwell in us. Thank You for that amazing truth. May Your church rise up and be the hands and feet of Jesus to this world. May Your church be known for it's love and care for those mistreated.

Lord I pray for children every where. So many children abandoned, enslaved, and mistreated. Father be with each hurting child today. Heal our families. Turn the hearts of parents to their children. Bring husbands and wives back into healthy relationships. Redeem the mess we made so we can see Your beauty.

Thank You God for the United States of America. Be with our government. Help each person from the president down to the lowliest page in congress to seek Your wisdom. May they all come to know You personally and seek to please You and serve You as they lead this nation. I pray for Your Spirit to blow afresh on our nation. Waking us up from apathy and setting our hearts on fire for You. May we love You well by obeying You and loving others.

In Jesus' name. Amen.
