Because You Never Know
Sometimes heads ache and stomachs go wonky.
Some days your head spins with something other than thoughts.
Some nights there are a random acts of sickness that don’t make it to the toilet and rob you of precious sleep in the middle of the night (as you change sheets).
Perhaps a lizard may try to make your home his home.
Maybe you “remembered” when dance started and you were wrong, but at least you were early and not late.
Some days the dishes don’t get done because your kids want you to actually watch the movie they are watching.
Since we never know exactly what a day will bring, isn’t it good to know we serve a God who does know?
He has our days numbered, plans for our future, grace for today, mercy for yesterday, and perfect peace for all our days.
“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3
My mind can be steadfast if I trust in God and when I trust in God, God keeps me in perfect peace. Because I never know what may happen next, I pray I will trust in God so my mind will be steadfast and I will be kept in perfect peace.
How do you keep your mind steadfast in the midst of the craziness of each day? Leave a comment. I can’t wait to hear from you.
