Thank you so much for your words today! I’m on a journey right now, that isn’t my plan but God’s. And it is out of my comfort zone, so the Enemy keeps whispering in my ear that I must have heard it wrong (I didn’t…) , or that I’m not good enough (I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.) Thank you for reminding me that Jesus endured a cross & has plans for the journey I’m on, even when it’s out of my comfort zone!
Misti,
So many of my life journeys have not been of my choosing, but God knows best. I am humbled that He does the hard work of walking me through the hard things so that I can be more like Him. Blessings to you as you continue stepping out of your comfort zone for His glory.
Okay. Well, that ‘one person’ you spoke of…must’ve been me. 😉 I just finished throwing MY pity party. (Of course, no one else showed…ahem). So, well…okay. He’s working…even when it looks as hopeless as it’s ever going to. (sigh) Chin up. Smile (re)pasted on. Thanks for this..
Susan, I am so honored that you would be the “one” today. Praying that we do it His way.
Sister, that was a Word in due season! Thank you for sharing it .. you have no idea how much I needed to hear it BTW, I’m also glad (well, maybe glad isn’t the right word) to hear that other grown women have their own private pity parties … thankful I’m not the only one. Thanks again!
Yes Kimberly, I am sad that others have to deal with pity parties, but it makes me feel less crazy knowing I am not the only one. So glad God blessed you through this vlog.
Angela, you make me smile! I’m very good at throwing pity parties for myself. *It’s comforting to know I’m not the only one* In the blog world, it can be easy to let numbers define us. Thank you for calling our attention to that, and challenging us to focus, instead, on the ones who are reading, most especially the One we write for!
Jennifer you are so right. We need to remember our audience of One and be obedient to His calling. You make me smile too. 😉
Hi I amand new to ESBC. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Hope you don’t mind me checking your blog out…saw it posted on pastor Travis’s facebook and thought I would see what it was about and glad I did. God Bless!!
Stephanie, welcome to East Side! I am so glad you stopped by. Say hi if you see me there.
Thank you so much for that great message. Sitting at home trying to recover from my knee surgery is been frustrating. I have missed so much work and fellowship with my friends. Now I am going to have surgery again to repair some tendon that messed up. its really easy for me to say why Me. I have since been dealing with a lot of family issues and health problem. I really needed this to focus on God and not me. Thank you again for being a blessing to me.
Oh Donna. I knew I hadn’t seen you in a while, but I didn’t know you were going through all of that. I am praying for you sweet lady! I am humbled that God would use my words to help you focus on Him. Blessings to you!
