Giveaway information and Fasting
Today I have a post up at The M.O.M. Initiative and they are having two weeks of great give-aways. Check out the post Sibling Squabbles here.
Yesterday I fasted from the time I woke up until 3 PM. I wonder if God uses fasting to show me how desperately sinful I am. I acted cranky, frustrated, and entitled. It was not a picture of dependence on God, nor a great moment of spiritual insight or intimacy.
But I am not going to let that experience keep me from fasting. Fasting is how Jesus started His earthly ministry. Many of the men who were instrumental in the Great Awakening regularly fasted and prayed.
Oh that I would hunger more for God who satisfies eternally than food which only temporarily satisfies.
Have you ever fasted? What was your purpose for fasting? Any fasting tips?
I can’t wait to hear from you.

Fasting is an exercise to be approached with education and respect. It is great for the body and soul but the body takes a hammering if not done properly.
A healthy diet will reduce the toxins, helping the body enter various types of fasts. Your mind will clear and your spirit will tune in to God in a Big way.
A person may fast: food, soft drinks, tv, entertainment, etc., with the same results. God bless.
