What Love Is Not…
The famous Biblical love chapter (1 Corinthinas 12) talks more about what love is not than what love is…
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love does not envy what someone else gets for Valentine’s day nor does it boast about what it received. Love does not rudely repeat over and lover how great it is to have a Valentine to a single friend.
Love does not look like a diva tapping her foot while a fumbling boyfriend tries to fulfill her every wish. No love does not expect or demand flowers or gifts. Love appreciates a simple acknowledgement a note, a card, a single flower.
Love does not demand a fancy meal or night out. Love does not look like Valentine’s Day hype.
Love looks like a savior who died so we could be with Him in eternity. Love is an all-powerful Creator who knit us together and has great plans for us.
Happy Valentine’s Day.
