Words

Words are only words and actions…They are actions…

But words they create things.

Our words set the tone for our day.

They mark our attitude towards circumstances.

Words mean something.

“It is what it is.” or “This is tough, but I know God has a plan.”

“I’m never going to ____________.” or “With God’s help and direction I will keep trying and know when to quit.”

“I’m just stupid.” or “This is challenging I need help.”

“I will never forgive.” or “This really hurts. God help me forgive.”

Words dictate whether we clench our fists tight and demand our way or if we open our hands in thankfulness knowing God’s ways are perfect despite the pain.

And the Word made flesh gives us hope. He chooses to use the Word of God to bring hope and healing…And so why do we ignore the Word?

And why do we act like we don’t meet the Word made flesh as we read the Word of God?

The Word and our words change things. Perhaps if we spend more time in God’s Word our words will mirror God’s will.

How do you keep the Word in mind so your words mirror God’s will?

And can you link-up with a post of your own?
