A Prayer for Those Days

Here is a prayer for us all when difficult days or things come. I am praying for you. Thanks for stopping by!

Father God in heaven,

There are days, weeks, months, even years when hard things string themselves together and it weighs us down. Our stomachs churn and muscles tense and we don’t even realize we aren’t taking deep breaths.

We clinch down because we know it isn’t supposed to be like this. You created good things and we messed it up with sin.

Yet Lord You promise that “nothing is too difficult for [You].” You walk us through the valley of the shadow of death – and even though we may not be dying sometimes the difficult things in life feel like dying. You are a strong tower for us to run to and be safe. Even when it feels like the world around us shakes, You are sure and firm.

Father God help us to look past our circumstances, the drama, the difficult, the circumstances and help us to see You. Help us to not only know You are a sure foundation, but help us feel Your sureness despite the rest of the world shaking.

Father be with the difficult relationships in our lives. We know we are stiff-necked children and You know what it is to be patient with difficult folks. Help give us patience in the drama and difficulty.

Help us to cling to You as our strength and help. Remind us that when we find joy in You, then we are strong. For You promise the “joy of [You] is our strength.” Help us then see the things to thank You for in the middle of the chaos. Help us to see the beauty You bring from the ashes. Give us eyes to see and hearts to rejoice in what You give us daily. May we never forget to give You praise and thanks.

I pray these things in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
